The Grand Prix Stuttgart & Region returns for its third edition in 2025, continuing its rapid rise on the international calendar. First held as a 1.2 race in 2023 and won by Elena Pirrone ahead of Kathrin Schweinberger and Linda Riedmann, it was elevated to ProSeries status last year. That upgrade brought a stronger field and a more dynamic race, with Eleonora Gasparrini taking victory in Stuttgart after a finely judged sprint against Lieke Nooijen and Mareille Meijering.

The 2024 race, held over 118.2km from Böblingen to Stuttgart, showcased the unpredictable racing that the event is already becoming known for. Breaks from Brodie Chapman, Dominika Wlodarczyk and Floortje Mackaij animated the mid-section, before Marta Lach launched a bold late move that held until inside the final 3km. In the end, it came down to a last-lap sprint on the city circuit, where Gasparrini surged past Nooijen in the final metres to secure her first win on German roads.

With its elevated status confirmed and the backing of ten WorldTour teams last season, the Grand Prix Stuttgart & Region has quickly become a valuable race both for riders chasing points and for those fine-tuning form before the World Championships. The 2025 edition promises more of the same – aggressive racing, opportunities for late attackers, and the likelihood of a reduced group deciding the outcome on the streets of Stuttgart.
