The Kreiz Breizh Elites Féminin returns for 2025 with its familiar blend of demanding terrain and attacking racing in the heart of Brittany. A fixture of the French calendar since 2018, the race has grown from a one-day UCI debut into a mix of formats before settling back on its current testing single-day structure. Over the years, it has rewarded aggressive riders who know when to commit, and its rolling profile combined with short, steep climbs provides plenty of opportunities to split the peloton.
The race has a knack for producing breakthrough moments. Dani Christmas claimed the inaugural UCI edition in 2018, edging Maëlle Grossetête, while Teniel Campbell dominated the following year by winning both stages of a new two-day format. Anna Henderson matched that feat when the race returned after the Covid hiatus in 2021, taking both stages and the overall while riding for Jumbo-Visma. In 2022, the event switched back to a single-day race and Emma Norsgaard delivered a powerful victory ahead of Silvia Persico and home favourite Marie Le Net.
Last season saw Anouska Koster seize her first UCI victory in nearly five years, attacking decisively on the final climb before Pontrieux and holding off a chasing pack led by Alice Wood and Marta Jaskulska. That edition also marked a return to stronger participation following the reduced startlist of 2023, and the 2025 race promises another competitive line-up packed with riders capable of shaping the finale.
With Brittany’s testing roads, eight laps around Pontrieux, and plenty of short, punishing climbs, the race looks set to once again favour bold moves rather than a predictable sprint.
