Ally Wollaston, Maureen Arens and Senne Knaven join NXTG racing

Ally Wollaston, Maureen Arens and Senne Knaven will join NXTG Racing from 1 August. Ally signed a contract with the team and Maureen and Senne come over as stagiaires from our U19 team. Wollaston hails from New Zealand and has already shown great things on the track. In 2019 she won the world toile individual pursuit at the junior world championships in Frankfurt and she is currently reserve for the New Zealand team at the Olympics. The 20-year is eager to start and will leave at the Watersley Sports and Talent Park:

The choice to join NXTG  for the remainder of this season was a very easy one! With a lull in the track scene back at home, it was the perfect opportunity for me to better myself as a rider both on and off the bike in a new and exciting environment. I chose to join NXTG as they offer extensive support for development athletes on the road, as well as support for a dual career – something which is very important to me. I’m looking forward to furthering my cycling career with this team.

Senne Knaven and Maureen Arens join NXTG as stagiaires for this season from our junior team. Sports director Wim Stroetinga explains the choice for these two second-year junior riders.

Maureen has a great work ethos, ambition and constantly keeps progressing. She gets to try the elite level and we are curious to see her strentghs. Senne is a very mature rider for her age. Her work ethos and ambitions are also there and we are keen to see her progress in the harder, elite level races.
