The 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift gets underway on 26th July with four British riders named on the start list. While none of them are expected to fight for the general classification, each brings their own value to the race across a variety of roles. From seasoned lead-out skills to first-time Grand Tour experience, this year’s British presence leans young, punchy and opportunistic.
Previous editions have seen 7 British riders in 2024, 10 Brits in 2023, and 6 in the first rebooted edition in 2022. No British rider has won a stage so far in the previous 3 editions.
All 4 British riders in the 2025 Tour de France Femmes
Pfeiffer Georgi (Team Picnic PostNL)
One of the most experienced names among the British quartet, Pfeiffer Georgi returns to the Tour de France Femmes with three editions already under her belt. Though Picnic PostNL have not yet confirmed their full line-up, Georgi is a known engine in the classics and has the strength to support a sprinter like Charlotte Kool or chase down breaks in the final hour of a stage.
She’s not been as visible on results sheets this season, but her value lies in her tactical brain and ability to manage chaotic finales. Georgi has previously performed well on lumpy terrain, and her presence will be vital if Picnic PostNL have sprint ambitions or a punchy GC wildcard to protect.
Imogen Wolff (Team Visma | Lease a Bike)
Still only 19, Imogen Wolff will be the youngest rider in the race. She’s making her Grand Tour debut in what is just her first full season at WorldTour level. Selected by Team Visma | Lease a Bike alongside household names like Marianne Vos and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Wolff enters the race with minimal pressure and maximum learning potential. She’s likely to spend most of the race in a support role, but don’t rule out an attacking cameo in one of the transitional stages.
Wolff is one of a growing crop of British talents promoted aggressively to the top tier. Her early season showed glimpses of promise, particularly in stage races, and while she won’t be part of any GC or sprint lead-out plans, her inclusion speaks volumes about Visma’s long-term development focus.
Millie Couzens & Flora Perkins (Fenix-Deceuninck)
Fenix-Deceuninck bring two young British riders in Millie Couzens and Flora Perkins, both of whom have spent 2025 carving out more consistent roles in one-day and stage racing. Couzens, now 21, is in her third year at this level and has shown flashes of form in tougher races, with top-20 finishes in punchy hilly terrain earlier this season. She could be a candidate to get up the road on undulating stages or provide key cover for Yara Kastelijn or Marthe Truyen in the middle portion of stages.
Perkins, also 21, returns to the Tour after being part of the team’s selection in smaller stage races through the spring. She’s less experienced than Couzens but offers strong positioning and durability, particularly if the team targets breakaways or aggressive racing days. With Christina Schweinberger also in the squad, both British riders will likely be deployed in support first and foremost, but a brave move on a transition stage wouldn’t be out of character.
A youthful core with long-term prospects
It’s not a headline-grabbing British line-up at this year’s Tour de France Femmes, but it is a significant one. Three of the four are 21 or younger, and all are on upward trajectories. With no established British GC rider or sprinter in the race, the nation’s hopes rest on development, and the opportunity for these riders to take the next step in their careers on the biggest stage.
All four will have the chance to learn, to ride into the race, and perhaps even animate it, especially on the transitional stages that define week-long stage races like this one. Whether it’s Georgi pulling in the final 10 kilometres or Wolff getting in a move early in the day, the British presence may be quiet, but it will be keenly felt.
