Canyon SRAM zondacrypto unveil ‘Luminous’ kit for 2026 as team marks 10-year milestone

Canyon SRAM zondacrypto have unveiled their new kit for the 2026 season, introducing a bold new visual identity titled Luminous as the team celebrates ten years in the professional peloton.

The design represents a clear evolution from the pink-dominated look of 2025, with the team opting instead for a darker purple base, overlaid with turquoise, pink, coral and red tones. According to the team, the colour palette is intended to create a light-refraction effect that reflects both movement and visibility in the bunch.

A decade of Canyon SRAM zondacrypto

The timing of the launch carries added significance. The 2026 season marks ten years since Canyon SRAM zondacrypto officially began operations as a UCI women’s team on 1 January 2016. Over that decade, the squad has built a reputation for distinctive kit designs and a strong emphasis on development, diversity and opportunity within women’s cycling.

The team says Luminous is designed to reflect that long-term mission, positioning Canyon SRAM zondacrypto as both a competitive WorldTour outfit and a platform for riders from a wide range of backgrounds to establish themselves at the highest level.

Design vision behind ‘Luminous’

The new kit is once again designed by Canyon designer Mckenzie Sampson, who was also responsible for 2025’s Infinitum design and several earlier iterations of the team’s visual identity.

Sampson explained that the concept behind Luminous is rooted in the idea of visibility and opportunity within women’s cycling, themes the team believes it has consistently represented.

“I find it fascinating how young, diverse riders from all corners of the globe have an opportunity with Canyon SRAM zondacrypto to break into the world of professional cycling,” Sampson said. “That opportunity is what motivates riders to get out of bed to train in winter, and what inspires riders to keep pushing right to the finish line. That hope and that light is what I wanted to illustrate with this year’s kit.”

From the team’s perspective, the darker base colour allows the brighter accents to stand out more sharply in race situations, while maintaining continuity with the bold aesthetic Canyon SRAM zondacrypto have become known for.

‘Returning to our roots’

Beth Duryea, co-owner and marketing manager at Canyon SRAM zondacrypto, framed the 2026 kit as both a celebration and a statement of intent.

“In our 10th anniversary, we’re returning to our roots with a kit design that represents what we want to be: a beacon for talented bike racers and an inspiration for riders across the world,” Duryea said.

The team has consistently leaned into the idea that kit design is part of how women’s cycling presents itself on the global stage, and Luminous is positioned as a continuation of that philosophy rather than a complete departure.

First appearance and availability

Luminous is set to make its race debut with Zoe Backstedt, who is expected to wear the new kit at X2O Trofee Baal, the GP Sven Nys, on 4th January.

Fans will be able to purchase the kit in spring 2026 via Canyon, with the team confirming that its Aeroad CFR race bikes will also feature the Luminous artwork. These bikes will be available exclusively through Canyon.com and the Canyon App.

On-road success in 2025

The kit launch follows a successful 2025 campaign on the road and across disciplines. Canyon SRAM zondacrypto riders picked up wins and national titles throughout the season, underlining the breadth of the squad.

Highlights included overall and stage success at the Baloise Ladies Tour and the Tour de Pologne Women, stage wins at the Simac Ladies Tour and the Tour Down Under, and victories in gravel racing at Eislek Gravel Luxembourg and Seven Gravel Race. The team also collected multiple national titles, including time trial championships in Great Britain, Germany and Poland, as well as the Polish road race title.

Those results form part of the backdrop to the Luminous launch, reinforcing the team’s message that performance and visibility go hand in hand.
