Canadian rider Clara Emond will join St Michel–Préférence Home–Auber93 on a two-year contract from 2026, strengthening the French ProTeam’s roster after two seasons with EF Education–Oatly.
The 27-year-old from Quebec moves back to France, where she previously rode for Arkéa Pro Cycling, marking a return to familiar roads and a chance to rebuild after what she described as a challenging year.
“I’m very happy and excited to join St Michel–Préférence Home–Auber93,” said Emond. “After a challenging year, I want to sincerely thank the team for the trust they’re placing in me. This new start is a great opportunity for me to bounce back, with the desire and motivation to give my very best. I can’t wait to start this new adventure and wear these beautiful colours.”
Emond’s most significant career success came in 2024, when she won stage 4 of the Giro d’Italia Women — her first professional victory. The following year, she continued to race at international level with EF Education–Oatly, gaining further experience in WorldTour and ProSeries races.
Team deputy general manager Charlie Nerzic said Emond’s signing would be a major boost for Auber93’s ambitions. “Clara’s arrival for two seasons is a major boost for the team moving forward. Her experience in France with Arkéa, and later with EF Education–Oatly, will be a real asset to the group. But above all, Clara is joining us to shine in the biggest races. By winning a stage at the Giro in 2024, she proved she’s capable of delivering top performances.”
Before joining EF Education–Oatly, Emond raced for Arkéa Pro Cycling Team in 2023 and spent two seasons with the Blagnac-based Emotional.fr Tornatech squad. Her earlier results include second place at the Vuelta Extremadura Féminas and third at La Périgord Ladies in 2023.
Her arrival continues Auber93’s strategy of reinforcing its women’s team with riders who combine international experience and French racing pedigree, as the team looks to consolidate its position in the ProTeam ranks.
