Eva van Agt looks set to swap Visma | Lease a Bike for FDJ-Suez, with sources in the Netherlands reporting that the 28-year-old is close to signing a multi-year deal with the French squad. The move would make her the latest Dutch rider to join forces with Demi Vollering at FDJ-Suez, following Amber Kraakโ€™s transfer two years ago.

Van Agt has been a reliable figure in the WorldTour peloton since her breakthrough with Le Col-Wahoo in 2022, when she made both her professional debut and first Tour de France appearance in the same summer. Visma | Lease a Bike quickly picked her up, and she has been part of their core for the past three seasons.

This year, she was among the riders tasked with supporting Pauline Ferrand-Prรฉvot at the Tour de France Femmes, her strength on varied terrain marking her out as a dependable domestique.

The links to FDJ-Suez underline the teamโ€™s intent to maintain one of the strongest line-ups in the womenโ€™s peloton. The French outfit boasts one of the largest budgets and has consistently built around the ambition of winning the Tour de France Femmes.

Adding Van Agt brings not just experience but also valuable insight into the workings of one of their biggest rivals, Visma | Lease a Bike. She would also bolster the Dutch core of the team, already featuring Loes Adegeest, Nina Buijsman and Lauren Molengraaf.

On the results front, Van Agt is still searching for her first professional victory. She has, however, been consistently present in key races this year. She was 2nd on stage 3 of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, 7th on stage 1 of the same race, and took 4th overall at the Tour of Norway, where she also finished 6th on the opening stage.

Earlier in the season, she claimed 5th at the Festival Elsy Jacobs ร  Garnich. These results highlight her steady progression and ability to perform across different terrains, even if the elusive win remains just out of reach.

For FDJ-Suez, the signing would strengthen their support structure for Vollering while giving the team another rider capable of solid results in week-long stage races and hilly one-day races. If confirmed, it marks the next step in Van Agtโ€™s career as she moves into her prime years with a team fully focused on the sportโ€™s biggest prizes.
