FDJ-SUEZ has unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Nike, marking the global brand’s first direct collaboration with a professional cycling team in either the men’s or women’s peloton. Nike will become the official lifestyle apparel supplier for the French team beginning with the 2025 season, a move aimed at blending sport and culture in innovative ways.
The partnership is set to provide FDJ-SUEZ athletes and staff with Nike-designed lifestyle apparel that prioritises both aesthetics and functionality. According to team management, the collaboration represents an opportunity to explore uncharted territory in professional cycling.
Stephen Delcourt, General Manager of FDJ-SUEZ, shared his excitement about the deal, saying, “This partnership with Nike is a unique opportunity for our team. Collaborating with such an iconic brand will strengthen our identity while bringing a fresh dimension to our project. We look forward to building this collaboration over the long term, enhancing our team’s image both on and off the competition stage.”
The journey to 2025
FDJ-SUEZ, established in 2006, has grown into one of the most successful teams in professional cycling. Initially founded to help a young cyclist realise her sporting potential, the team gained traction when FDJ became its title sponsor in 2017. SUEZ joined in 2022 as a co-title sponsor, further solidifying the team’s foundation.
The squad, comprising 18 riders from five nationalities, has consistently excelled on the world stage. Over recent years, the team has secured notable stage or GC victories at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, Giro Donne, Vuelta, and one-day classics such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Amstel Gold Race.
The upcoming 2025 season is set to be transformative for the French outfit. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, FDJ-SUEZ has made bold recruitment moves, including signing 2023 Tour de France Femmes winner Demi Vollering and 2024 French road champion Juliette Labous. These two riders, alongside climber Evita Muzic, are expected to spearhead the team’s campaign in what promises to be a highly ambitious year.
