Fleur Moors has committed her future to Lidl-Trek, signing a two-year extension that will keep her with the team until the end of 2027. The 19-year-old Belgian joined the squad in 2024 as a neo-pro, splitting her time between road and cyclocross, and has already shown signs she can deliver on the biggest stages despite a disrupted second season.
The first half of 2025 was anything but straightforward. Illness and surgery sidelined Moors for three months, forcing her to rebuild carefully. Her return in June could hardly have gone better – in just her second race back, she took her first professional win at Dwars door de Westhoek. It was an emphatic statement after such a long lay-off, underlining her finishing speed and race instinct in a one-day setting.
That win was quickly followed by a start at the Giro d’Italia Women, the biggest stage race of her young career. The plan was to learn and adapt without pressure, but a crash on stage five left her with a broken wrist and another enforced break from racing. Her recovery is now well advanced, and she is targeting a return at the Tour de l’Avenir later this month before resuming cyclocross over the winter.
Moors describes Lidl-Trek as feeling “like a family” and credits the team’s support during her difficult start to the year as key to her comeback. “The trust they gave me was super important and motivated me to come back strong. Without this team, that win wouldn’t have been possible. My motivation and ambition for the future is high. I know the team and my teammates will help me as much as possible and I hope we can achieve something beautiful together.”
General manager Luca Guercilena believes Moors has all the attributes to keep progressing. “She has already shown she can perform at a high level, particularly in one-day races, and her first pro victory this season was an important milestone – especially after the challenges she faced earlier in the year. Fleur is one of our brightest young talents, and we’re committed to giving her the time, support, and guidance she needs to continue her development without unnecessary pressure.”
With her first win behind her and a long-term deal secured, Moors has the platform to keep developing across disciplines – with Lidl-Trek backing her to turn potential into results.
