Israel-Premier Tech (IPT) have unveiled their 30-man roster for the 2025 season, headlined by seasoned riders Chris Froome, Michael Woods, and Stephen Williams. The squad, led by general manager Kjell Carlström, will be making a final push to reclaim WorldTour status, aiming to round off a strong three-year points campaign that has seen them positioned well above the relegation cut-off.
Carlström remarked on the team’s steady progress, noting that “IPT had a successful season this year. We were consistently scoring victories and nice results throughout the season all the way to the end,” adding that the team’s 2024 achievements leave them well-prepared for the last lap in the battle for a WorldTour licence. With a 21,745-point tally, IPT are placed comfortably ahead of Arkéa-B&B Hotels, currently 19th, with an almost 6,000-point buffer.
Among the leaders spearheading IPT’s campaign is Williams, whose standout season saw him clinch victories at the Tour Down Under and the iconic Flèche Wallonne, where he overcame the notorious Mur de Huy to take the top spot. Reflecting on his year, Williams expressed his satisfaction with the results, saying, “It has been a really good season, one I could have only dreamed of this time last year. Taking the biggest victories of my career is extremely special, but the way I’ve stepped up this year has been wonderful. I’m looking forward to improving even more and trying to win some nice races again in 2025.”
IPT’s lineup for 2025, however, goes beyond established names. With an eye on future talent, the team has added three fresh signings: Alexey Lutsenko, Jan Hirt, and Matis Louvel. Additionally, young Canadian rider Pier-André Côté has been promoted from the development team, rounding out a roster that balances experience with emerging potential.
The coming season may mark a turning point for several of IPT’s veterans. Froome, who joined IPT in 2021 following his tenure with Ineos, looks set to complete his final competitive year, while fellow stalwarts Jakob Fuglsang, Woods, and Simon Clarke – all over 38 – are likely to follow suit as the team anticipates a generational shift in 2026.
To secure a WorldTour return, IPT will rely on key performers like Williams, Corbin Strong, and Derek Gee, who emerged as the team’s top points scorers in 2024.
