Karin Söderqvist makes mid-season move to Team Coop-Repsol

Team Coop-Repsol has confirmed the signing of Swedish rider Karin Söderqvist, who will make her debut for the team at the Swedish National Championships next week before lining up at the Volta a Portugal Feminina in early July. The 21-year-old joins from Massi Baix Ter and becomes the team’s latest mid-season addition, bringing both racing grit and promising results from the 2025 season so far.

Söderqvist said the decision to join Team Coop-Repsol felt natural, drawn in by the team’s reputation for bold, front-foot racing and a close-knit squad culture. “What really attracted me to the team was the aggressive and fearless way they race, and the strong sense of support and energy in the group,” she said. “It feels like the right place for me to keep developing and take the next step as a rider.”

Her 2025 campaign has already been marked by consistent performances. She was 4th on the opening stage of Gracia Orlová and finished 8th overall on GC, showing her strength over multiple days. She also claimed 8th at the GP Féminin de Chambéry in April, placed 11th on a stage of the Volta Catalunya, and rode to 14th at the Navarra Elite Classics – underlining her ability to compete across different profiles and levels of racing.

Söderqvist has previously raced with Lifeplus Wahoo and the development-focused Watersley R&D Cycling Team, gaining valuable experience across the European calendar. Though still early in her career, her trajectory has been steadily upward.

Her first appearance in Team Coop-Repsol colours will come at the Volta a Portugal Feminina from 2nd to 6th July, where she’ll aim to settle into her new environment and continue building on a strong first half of the season.
