Kim Le Court has extended her contract with AG Insurance-Soudal until the end of 2028, a move that reflects both her standout trajectory in recent seasons and her growing stature within the team. Initially signed through to 2026, the new two-year extension comes as she prepares to lead the Belgian squad into the 2025 Tour de France Femmes.
Now in her second year with the team, Le Court has made an increasingly compelling case as both a race winner and a GC leader. Her 2024 season already included a Giro d’Italia stage win, fourth overall at the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, and a clean sweep of the national titles in Mauritius. But it’s in 2025 that she’s stepped into new territory.
After finishing third overall at the UAE Tour in February, Le Court carried that momentum through the Spring Classics, placing inside the top ten at Sanremo Women, Ronde van Vlaanderen, and Flèche Wallonne. That consistency was finally rewarded with a landmark win at Liège–Bastogne–Liège, delivering AG Insurance-Soudal their first Monument and raising the bar for what the team, and African women’s cycling, can now aim for.
“Extending with AG Insurance-Soudal was an easy decision,” Le Court said. “I believe in the people, the project, and in the path we’re building together. This team gives me the platform and belief to chase the sport’s biggest goals, but also something even more important: it feels like home.”
That sense of alignment with the team’s values was a key driver in the decision to stay. With the Tour de France Femmes looming, AG Insurance-Soudal have made clear who their leader is.
Jolien D’hoore, was clear in her assessment of what Le Court brings: “She’s proven herself not only as a talented rider but also as a reliable teammate with great racing instinct. Her victory in Liège-Bastogne-Liège was a clear example of her potential at the highest level.”
Jurgen Foré, CEO of both AG Insurance-Soudal and Soudal Quick-Step, pointed to Le Court’s broader development across race types: “Kim is experiencing a magical season so far. She’s shown her GC capacity at the UAE Tour and delivered our first Monument. We’re confident this is the right environment for her to keep growing.”
Still just 29, Le Court’s progression into a race-winning leader has come through steady improvement rather than one explosive breakthrough. With an additional 2 more years now locked in, she has the time and backing to aim higher again.
