AG Insurance-Soudal head to the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with a squad designed to be aggressive, adaptable and ambitious across all nine days of racing. With summit finishes at altitude and sprint chances early on, the route offers a wide canvas – and the Belgian outfit is arriving with leaders in form and support riders ready to seize any opportunity.
The team will ride for Kim Le Court, winner of Liège-Bastogne-Liège in April and one of the breakthrough performers of the spring. Although this will be her first time targeting a general classification at WorldTour level, the team believe she has both the ability and mindset to develop across the week.
“She doesn’t have the experience of going for the overall, but it’s a nice challenge we’re all looking forward to,” said sports manager Jolien D’hoore. “We’ll take it day by day and see how far we can get.”
The route could suit her climbing style, with stage 6 to Chambéry and the penultimate day over the Col de la Madeleine both likely to be decisive in the GC battle. If she’s still in contention heading into the final showdown at Châtel Les Portes du Soleil via the Joux-Plane, she may find herself in the deep end – but her form this year suggests she won’t back down.
Alongside Le Court is Sarah Gigante, fresh off a superb Giro Donne where she won two stages and finished third overall. The Australian has climbed consistently in 2025 and offers the team flexibility. She could ride in service of Le Court or strike out for individual success, particularly if the GC battle shifts mid-race.
Justine Ghekiere returns to the Tour as Belgian national champion, and with unfinished business. She was the best climber of the 2024 edition and claimed an unforgettable solo win in Le Grand-Bornand. This time, she’ll be marked more closely, but on stages like Ambert or Guéret, she remains a danger from a reduced group or long-range move.
Backing up that trio is a core of experienced and opportunistic riders. Shari Bossuyt can get in the mix on rolling days, while Julie Van de Velde and Ilse Pluimers bring climbing support and breakaway threat. Gladys Verhulst-Wild gives the team a sprint card, especially in the early flat stages across Brittany.
AG Insurance-Soudal’s approach is clear: ride proactively, support Le Court’s GC hopes without hesitation, and stay alert for chances to animate the race elsewhere.
