Liv AlUla Jayco head to the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with a clear focus on stage wins, assembling a versatile and attack-minded squad ready to animate the race across all nine stages. With a blend of experienced leaders, rising talent, and fast finishers, the Australian outfit is aiming to make the most of every opportunity.

Stage-hunting strategy led by Smulders and Trinca Colonel

Silke Smulders enters the race off the back of an impressive run of results. After finishing 2nd overall at the Santos Tour Down Under in January, the Dutch rider showed her climbing legs and attacking intent at the Giro d’Italia Women, notching up 4th and 8th-place stage finishes. She’ll be key to the team’s ambitions on transitional and undulating terrain.

Monica Trinca Colonel will make her Tour debut and has enjoyed a breakout 2025. The Italian finished in the top 10 overall at both the UAE Tour and La Vuelta Femenina, showcasing consistency and climbing strength. This will be her biggest test yet, but she’s already proven capable of mixing it with the best.

Experience and options for the sprints

Ruby Roseman-Gannon, winner of a stage at last year’s Tour of Britain Women, returns looking to rediscover that form. While her 2025 results have been more subdued, she remains an aggressive and versatile rider capable of creating stage-winning scenarios.

“It will be my third Tour de France Femmes and I’m really motivated and excited to race with such a strong team at the biggest cycling race of the year,” said Roseman-Gannon. “I think we are close to something big as a team. We can expect some hectic stages and this is why it will be super important to gel well as a team and ride together.”

Letizia Paternoster will lead the team’s efforts in the bunch sprints. She pulled on the red jersey at La Vuelta Femenina earlier this season and has shown promise across a range of sprint finishes, especially when the pace has been hard throughout the day.

Depth in the mountains and veteran guidance

Mavi Garcia provides climbing power and key experience. She was 2nd in the Spanish national championships and finished 9th overall at the Tour de Suisse, and will be crucial in the hillier stages during the final days.

Ella Wyllie also returns, having raced for the white jersey in her Tour debut two years ago. The 22-year-old brings long-range attacking potential and has proven she can survive deep into tough stages.

Dutch veteran Jeanne Korevaar will act as road captain, helping to guide the squad tactically and maintain positioning throughout the race.

Sport Director Wim Stroetinga summed up the approach: “Normally our plan is for the team to hunt for stages. If you look at the stages with the different riders we have, we will need to use our numbers to get a win.”

With nine days of racing and a wide range of stage types, Liv AlUla Jayco will be aiming to seize every chance at the 2025 Tour de France Femmes.
