The Women’s Nokere Koerse is a relatively new classic but has turned heads in its short time with a series of impressive winners on the history books and by paying the same prize money for the men’s and women’s race before higher profile races in Flanders did. Last year saw Lotte Kopecky go clear and take a comprehensive victory on her own. Previous years have seen sprints up the infamous Nokereberg. The uphill cobbled sprint is made easier by the fast downhill run into its base but then it’s an all-out sprint and a battle for position and traction.
