Lore De Schepper, a rising star at just 18 years old, has secured a place in the AG Insurance – Soudal World Tour elite team this month. This move marks a significant step in her promising career, having already demonstrated her talent with multiple podium finishes and an impressive solo victory at the Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry earlier this year.

Expressing her enthusiasm, De Schepper said, “I am extremely happy to join the World Tour this season. I have a lot of confidence in the team and am convinced that we will make significant progress together. I feel at home and comfortable within the team, which was the main reason for me to sign until the end of 2027. This season, I hope to learn a lot at the World Tour level and contribute to achieving great results with the team. I am really looking forward to the second part of the season. Currently, I am still dealing with an elbow injury from my crash in the Tour de Feminin, but I hope to return to competition as soon as possible.”

The announcement also included remarks from sports manager Jolien D’hoore, who highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent within the team’s structure. “The transition of Lore to the AG Insurance – Soudal World Tour team highlights the importance of developing riders in our U23 team. It shows how crucial it is to guide young talents and give them the opportunity to grow within our structure. We are proud of the strides Lore has made over the past year and we look forward to seeing her compete at the highest level.”

De Schepper, who joined the team in January 2023, will now compete in the elite category at the Belgian Championship. Fans can expect further announcements regarding her upcoming races soon.
