Mavic renew with the team for 2022

Drops-Le Col supported by Tempur is pleased to share the news that Mavic has extended and increased its partnership with the team going into the 2022 season.

The 2021 season was Mavic’s first venture into women’s cycling and the increased partnership is a true sign of their belief in our side of the sport. Women’s cycling will play a key part in the Mavic strategy going forward, and we are delighted to having such an innovative and forward thinking company working with us on our journey.

Guillaume Martin, Sport Marketing Manager for Mavic said “In 2020, with many changes at Mavic, it was time to change drastically our way of supporting our sport. In the road side, we took the opportunity to support women’s cycling, something never done in the past for Mavic. It s not only question of marketing, it s question of beliefs. We deeply think at Mavic that women will take a huge place in the future of road cycling, and we want to be part of the game. To fulfil our wishes, Drops is the logical team we have been working with to start to write the story: to start with this enthusiast ladies as a conti team and to growth hand in hand in order to fight with the best team in the world is part of our dream.”

Team General Manager, Tom Varney said “We look forward to continuing to work with Mavic. We have already established a great working relationship which has been beneficial to both sides. Having their service course team present at one of our Paris-Roubaix recon rides gave both our staff and riders good knowledge of equipment and pressures amongst other things.”

The team currently ride the brand new Cosmic SLR 45 Disc, Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL UST Disc, Comete SL Pro Carbon UST Disc and some have tested new prototype wheels.
