Movistar heads to the 2025 Tour de France Femmes with overall victory firmly in mind and a squad built to take opportunities across the nine days of racing. With Marlen Reusser spearheading the line-up, the Spanish team bring one of the most in-form riders of the summer and arguably the biggest threat to Demi Vollering.
Reusser’s 2025 season has already included overall wins at both the Vuelta a Burgos and Tour de Suisse, and she pushed Vollering hard at La Vuelta Femenina before finishing second. She looked on course for Giro d’Italia Women victory until illness hampered her in the final weekend, and she ultimately settled for second behind Elisa Longo Borghini. Now recovered, she returns to France with renewed determination.
Alongside Reusser, Liane Lippert is another proven stage winner. The German rider took two wins at the Giro and will be a strong option for undulating stages where she can use her punchy finish and climbing strength. Lippert and Reusser formed a potent double act in Italy, and that dynamic is likely to continue across the Tour’s varied terrain.
Mareille Meijering returns after solid showings earlier in the year and will lend climbing support on the hardest stages. Sara Martín and Aude Biannic offer key experience and road strength to shepherd the leaders across flatter and transitional days. Jelena Eric, who joined the Giro squad midway through the race, adds speed and versatility, while Tota Magalhaes makes her Tour de France Femmes debut, having stepped up in several WorldTour races this season.
