Movistar Team have confirmed three major contract extensions within their women’s squad, securing the long-term futures of Tota Magalhães, Sara Martín and Aude Biannic. The news reinforces the team’s commitment to continuity and development as they build towards 2026 and beyond.
The Brazilian rider Tota Magalhães, who was already under contract until the end of next season, has extended her deal for three further years, keeping her with Movistar until 2029. The 23-year-old continues to develop as a talented climber and time triallist, having impressed with consistent rides at the UAE Tour and Tour de France Femmes in 2025, and previously winning the Brazilian national time trial title in 2024.
Sara Martín, the current Spanish road race champion, has renewed her contract until 2028, reinforcing her position as a cornerstone of the Movistar project. Martín first joined the team in 2021 and has since grown into one of their most reliable riders. Her 2025 campaign was highlighted by her national championship win, alongside strong showings at the Vuelta a Andalucía Ruta del Sol and the Vuelta España Femenina.
Aude Biannic, one of the most experienced riders in the peloton, has also extended her stay with Movistar for two more seasons, signing through 2027. The French national champion in 2018 and a long-serving road captain for the team, Biannic has been with Movistar since 2018 and remains an important leader on and off the bike.
Movistar said the renewals reflect their intention to maintain a strong and balanced group that combines experience and emerging talent, ensuring the team remains competitive across all terrains and race formats.
On the men’s side, the team also announced extensions for Orluis Aular and Jefferson Cepeda until 2028, with Jorge Arcas and Nelson Oliveira continuing through 2027, while Albert Torres and Nairo Quintana have renewed for an additional season.
With these signings, Movistar secure a solid foundation for the coming years, strengthening both their men’s and women’s squads as they look to the next phase of their sporting project.
