Red Bull BORA hansgrohe present updated 2026 jersey with aviation-inspired design

Red Bull BORA hansgrohe have unveiled their 2026 team jersey, describing it as a natural evolution of the design language introduced over the last two seasons rather than a complete visual reset. Developed once again in collaboration with Specialized, the team says the new kit is intended to reflect themes of speed, precision and lightness, while remaining closely connected to the identity established during its recent Tour de France campaigns.

The launch was deliberately framed around Project Peloton, the team’s headline-grabbing activation in which nine riders worked together to tow a light aircraft into the air using only human power. Red Bull BORA hansgrohe say this moment symbolised the ambition behind the 2026 look, linking technical innovation, teamwork and performance to the visual direction of the jersey itself.

What Red Bull BORA hansgrohe say has changed for 2026

According to the team, the most visible update is the shift away from the white sleeves used in 2025. For 2026, the sleeves return to blue, which the team describes as creating a clearer and more unified silhouette in the peloton.

Across the torso, the dark navy mid-body panel seen last season has been replaced by a lighter base colour. Red Bull BORA hansgrohe say this is intended to improve heat management, while a thin blue V-shaped graphic across the chest replaces the solid colour block previously used. The blue shoulder panels, first introduced with the Tour de France limited edition kit, are retained as a signature feature and are now fully integrated into the standard race jersey.

Aviation influences at the heart of the design

The team say the visual inspiration for the 2026 kit comes directly from aviation, a recurring theme within Red Bull’s wider brand identity. Dynamic stripe elements on the front of the jersey are described as being influenced by chevron markings found in aviation, intended to suggest speed and aerodynamics.

That concept was carried through into the launch imagery, with the jersey presented inside a Red Bull parachute that had recently been used by one of the brand’s athletes. Riders including Florian Lipowitz and Primož Roglič featured in the presentation, alongside younger talents from the Red Bull BORA hansgrohe development structure, underlining the connection between the WorldTeam, the Rookies squad and the junior Grenke – Auto Eder programme.

Continuity across the performance structure

Red Bull BORA hansgrohe confirmed that the same 2026 design will be worn by the UCI WorldTeam, the Red Bull BORA hansgrohe Rookies and the Grenke – Auto Eder junior team. The intention, according to the team, is to maintain a consistent visual identity across all levels of the performance pathway.

They also positioned the 2026 jersey as the next step in an ongoing progression, following the Racing Blue-dominant kit of 2024 and the lighter, white-accented design introduced in 2025. The latest version, they say, balances recognisability with refinement, while continuing to prioritise performance-led materials and construction.

Transfers frame the 2026 reset

The unveiling of the new kit comes alongside significant roster changes ahead of the 2026 season, as the team continues to reshape its sporting project.

Riders joining for 2026 include Finn Fisher-Black, Oier Lazkano, Gianni Moscon, Giulio Pellizzari, Laurence Pithie, Jan Tratnik, Mick van Dijke, Tim van Dijke and Maxim Van Gils. Departures include Emanuel Buchmann, Patrick Gamper, Marco Haller, Sergio Higuita, Bob Jungels, Lennard Kämna, Luis-Joe Lührs, Maximilian Schachmann and Cesare Benedetti.

Red Bull BORA hansgrohe say the updated jersey and the reworked roster together reflect a phase of consolidation and ambition as the team looks ahead to the 2026 season, with the new design intended to visually underline the direction of travel rather than redefine it.
