Silvia Zanardi has committed her future to Human Powered Health, signing a two-year contract extension that will see her stay with the team until the end of 2027. The Italian sprinter has been a consistent and reliable figure in the squad, contributing to both leadouts and results across the 2025 season.

โ€œI have found beautiful people who believe in me here,โ€ said the 25-year-old. โ€œThey are giving me the chance to grow and improve day by day without stress, which I think is the most important thing.โ€

That supportive environment has been reflected in her performances. Zanardi finished fourth on the final day of the UAE Tour Women and collected a string of top tens at the Schwalbe Womenโ€™s One Day Classic, Classica de Almeria, Scheldeprijs and Ronde de Mouscron. Her presence in stage racing has also been valuable, lining up at both the Vuelta a Espaรฑa Femenina and Giro dโ€™Italia Women, where she played a key role in supporting teammates. At the Tour de Pologne Women, her leadout work was instrumental in guiding Kathrin Schweinberger to both a stage win and an overall podium.

โ€œIโ€™ve found a really good group, united, and everyone works hard to support us athletes,โ€ Zanardi reflected on her first two seasons with Human Powered Health, after joining from BePink in 2024. โ€œAll we have left to do is think about pedalling and winning.โ€

Her ambitions remain high, as she looks to build on the breakthrough moment of her career โ€“ a victory at La Choralis Fourmies Fรฉminine in 2024. Time spent with the teamโ€™s Performance Lab has also become central to her development. โ€œI really enjoyed going to Wellesley and seeing such a well-structured lab,โ€ she explained. โ€œI also had a lot of fun doing the tests, and Iโ€™m glad I can go back this year. I think itโ€™s very useful to have data to compare season to season to help me develop.โ€

General Manager Ro De Jonckere highlighted her importance to the squadโ€™s sprint ambitions: โ€œSilvia is a key part of our leadout team and a fast-finishing sprinter. She has demonstrated that she can be a reliable card to play in the finales. She is vital when we are focused on a team objective. We know thereโ€™s more to come down the road from Silvia.โ€

Having first turned professional with BePink in 2019, Zanardiโ€™s career already features notable wins, including GP della Liberazione PINK (2023), stages at the Tour Fรฉminin International des Pyrรฉnรฉes and Tour Feminin lโ€™Ardรจche, and the U23 European Road Race title in 2021. Now settled into Human Powered Health, she has the platform to continue her progression through to 2027.
