Teuntje Beekhuis of Uno-X Mobility has undergone surgery on her femoral artery, marking the second time she has faced such an issue. Two years ago, she was operated on for problems with her iliac artery.

“This season has not gone as planned so far,” Beekhuis shared on her Instagram account. “During my first races, I experienced similar symptoms to those a few years ago when I had endofibrosis of the iliac artery. After a period of uncertainty, the problem was identified in my femoral artery. I had surgery in Paris last Monday. Everything went well, and the recovery process has begun. We are particularly focusing on the long term.”

Beekhuis, who joined Uno-X Mobility from Jumbo-Visma at the beginning of the season, has not been able to race since Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. She expressed her eagerness to return to racing, stating, “I am really looking forward to racing at full strength again.” However, it remains unclear when she will be able to rejoin the peloton.
