Canyon SRAM Racing resumes its Women’s World Tour campaign this weekend with a double-header in Vårgårda, Sweden. The team will line up for the 35.6km team time trial on Saturday 6th August, followed by the 125.7km road race on Sunday 7th August.
The line-up for both races features Alena Amialiusik, Shari Bossuyt, Neve Bradbury, Maud Oudeman, and Pauliena Rooijakkers. For the riders, the TTT marks a significant occasion as it returns to the calendar for the first time in three years after being sidelined by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The team arrives in Sweden on the back of a strong Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, where Amialiusik and Rooijakkers played crucial roles in Kasia Niewiadoma’s third place overall and Canyon SRAM Racing’s win in the team classification. The momentum from France will carry into a race that demands precision, coordination, and sustained power.
“I’m feeling good this week in training and motivated to be here in Sweden,” said Amialiusik. “We have a mix of experience in the TTT, and I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge with my teammates. It’s such a nice discipline, and I hope we have a smooth and strong race together.”
The Vårgårda TTT, long regarded as one of the most distinctive fixtures on the calendar, will test the team’s ability to work in harmony on the fast and rolling Swedish roads. With a blend of experienced riders and younger talent, Canyon SRAM Racing will be aiming to maximise its collective strength in a discipline rarely seen at this level in recent seasons.
