The 2024 Women’s Tour of Britain, set to take place from Thursday 6th June to Sunday 9th June, has announced its full line-up of teams entered, featuring a line-up of some of the biggest names in international cycling. This four-day stage race, now managed by British Cycling Events, marks a new era for the race.

World number one ranked Team SDWorx-Protime, featuring world champion Lotte Kopecky, headlines the event. They are joined by Team dsm-firmenich PostNL and Liv AlUla Jayco, both of whom have previously claimed multiple stages in the Women’s Tour and currently rank sixth and eighth in the world, respectively. Human Powered Health completes the roster of UCI Women’s WorldTour teams.
Adding to the excitement, five UCI Women’s Continental teams will join the six British Continental teams. Notably, AG Insurance – NXTG U23, with their main team having ascended to the UCI’s top tier this year will field their under-23 development team. Other prominent participants include Manchester-based Torelli, Cofidis, St. Michel-Mavic-Auber93 WE and Volker Wessels.
The race will commence in Welshpool, and conclude in Leigh having ridden from the velodrome in Manchester, where the latest Women’s Tour of Britain champion will be crowned.

“In addition to the Women’s WorldTour teams, we are thrilled to welcome an exciting mix of UCI Women’s Continental sides. Spectators can look forward to an exhilarating race, and we can’t wait to see them in action next month.” It should be noted that this is not the first Women’s Tour race, but it marks a new chapter under the organisation of British Cycling.
