The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup will return to Great Britain next season, with round three of the 2026-27 series set for Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow on December 13th, 2026.
It will be only the second time Great Britain has hosted a Cyclo-cross World Cup round, after Milton Keynes during the 2014-15 season.
Kelvingrove Park set for December 13th race
British Cycling says the event will be delivered by British Cycling Ventures in partnership with Glasgow Life and EventScotland. The organisation also highlighted Glasgow’s status as the UK’s first UCI Bike City, and positioned the race as part of a wider strategy to expand its major events portfolio.
Managing Director of British Cycling Ventures Darren Henry said: “We are incredibly excited to bring the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup to Glasgow later this year. This is a significant moment in the delivery of our major events vision. It joins a wide-ranging portfolio of major events hosted and delivered by British Cycling.”
Flanders Classics CEO Tomas Van Den Spiegel added: “We have been working on bringing a UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup event to Great Britain for several years and are delighted to be able to announce Glasgow for next winter.”

The announcement lands after several recent attempts to secure a British World Cup round, including projects linked to London and Crawley, that ultimately never reached the point of a confirmed calendar slot. Glasgow now becomes the location that finally brings the series back to Great Britain.
What it means for the British calendar
A World Cup round on home soil gives British riders a major international target without travel, and offers domestic fans a rare chance to see the sport’s top names in a World Cup setting. For British Cycling Ventures, it is a clear statement of intent as it builds out its major events programme.
