Alex Manly will remain with AG Insurance-Soudal in 2027 after extending her contract with the team for another season.
The 30-year-old Australian has become an important part of the team’s sprint structure since joining, particularly through her work in lead-outs and positioning before the final kilometres.
AG Insurance-Soudal confirmed that Manly will stay for another year as the squad continues developing both its sprint train and younger riders.
The deal is the latest addition to the Women’s Cycling Transfers Hub, which tracks confirmed moves, extensions, departures and retirements across the professional peloton.

Manly’s experience remains central to the sprint train
Manly has been racing at the highest level of women’s cycling for more than a decade and brings considerable experience across the major races on the calendar.
That experience has become increasingly important within AG Insurance-Soudal’s sprint structure.
Rather than being used solely as a finisher, Manly has taken on a key role in lead-outs, where her positioning, race reading and ability to guide teammates through chaotic finales have made her one of the more valuable support riders in the team.
Her role also extends beyond race day.
AG Insurance-Soudal highlighted Manly’s contribution to the development of younger riders, with her experience helping provide a reference point inside a squad that continues to grow.
Retaining riders in those support roles can be just as important as headline signings, particularly for teams trying to build a more consistent sprint structure. ProCyclingUK’s Women’s Cycling Transfers Hub also tracks the wider 2027 roster picture as teams begin securing their line-ups for next season.
Jolien D’hoore: ‘We can really use that experience’
Sports manager Jolien D’hoore said Manly’s ability to organise and support the team’s sprinting ambitions was central to the decision to extend her contract.
“We’re very happy to extend Alex’s contract for another year. She brings a wealth of experience to the team, especially when it comes to lead-outs and our sprint train.
“She’s a very experienced rider, and that experience is something we can really use within the team. We’re happy to be able to count on her again in 2027.”
For a team continuing to build around both established riders and younger talent, retaining experienced riders capable of controlling difficult race situations provides useful continuity.
The extension also comes as AG Insurance-Soudal continue shaping their 2027 squad, with the broader transfer market developing quickly across the Women’s WorldTour and ProTeam level.
Manly pleased to remain part of the Wolfpack
Manly said she was happy to continue with the team after seeing its progression over recent seasons.
“I’m really happy to extend my contract with AG Insurance-Soudal. The team is growing every year, and it’s great to be part of such an ambitious and united group.
“I really enjoy working with the staff and riders, constantly striving to improve both as a team and as individuals. I feel very supported and proud to be part of the Wolfpack, and I’m looking forward to another season together.”
The extension means Manly will continue into 2027 as one of the team’s more experienced riders and an important part of its sprint organisation.
For AG Insurance-Soudal, the deal is less about adding another headline leader and more about retaining a rider whose value comes from helping others reach the finish in the best possible position.
