Amandine Fouquenet : You Always Have to Believe in It

Amandine Fouquenet was crowned 2021 French Cyclo-cross Champion today on the Pont-Château circuit.

“When I came back to Perrine Clauzel at the recovery station, I said to myself: ‘You always have to believe in it! “I put in my effort, and I went. A race is never over anyway! The proof. I passed it, and won this 2021 French Championship. I felt good before this meeting in Pont-Château. I wanted to believe it, and mentally I was ready to try to win this competition. The title of Champion of France, once it is acquired, is always magic! All of the competitors want this jersey. I will now represent our nation throughout the season. It’s something incredible! The Arkéa Pro Cycling Team was created last year. This season, we already have obtained the titles of Champion of France Espoirs and Élites women. This is a great source of pride for everyone. I was also able to enjoy these moments in two ways, with two Marseillaises played after obtaining these victories “.

The Number 2

Amandine Fouquenet seized the two titles at stake for women during the French Cyclo-cross Championship at Pont-Château: the one reserved for the Elite, but also that of the Espoirs.

 The Info

Amandine Fouquenet, already crowned Junior French Champion in 2019 in Besançon, has won all the French Women’s Champion titles in all categories since the start of her (young) career.
