Career overview
Covrig was one of Romania’s leading road riders of the 2010s, building her career around national championship dominance and Italian team racing. She won both the Romanian national road race and national time-trial titles five years in a row from 2015 to 2019, giving her ten elite national titles across the two disciplines. Internationally, she raced for teams including Astana BePink Women Team, Top Girls Fassa Bortolo and Eurotarget-Bianchi, gaining experience in major European races such as the Giro d’Italia Femminile, Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the Tour of Flanders. Covrig’s professional road career ran through to 2019 before she moved away from top-level racing.
