Ana Vitoria Magalhães and Andrea Ramirez join Bizkaia Durango for 2023

Spanish team Bizkaia Durango announced the signings of Ana Vitoria ‘Tota’ Magahães and Andrea Ramirez for 2023. Both will bring experience to the line-up and a wealth of success nationally in particular. Magalhães is Brazilian and represented her country at the World Championships in Wollongong. She took part in the multinational team that Soltec put together for the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta in 2022. During the 2022 season, Magalhães won her national U23 road race and time trial titles, as well as finishing in the top 10 of both at the Pan-American Championship too.

“I am very happy and motivated with the opportunity that Bizkaia-Durango is giving me, a team with so much history and from which I am sure I will learn a lot. I know it’s an important step in my career and I’m ready for next season.”

She’s joined by the Mexican Andrea Ramirez who spent 2022 on the Spanish Massi-Tactic team. A double Mexican national time trial champion, she also has a number of top-10s in races like the Tour Down Under, Herald Sun Tour and the Vuelta a Andalusia. Previously on the Mexican Agolico team, the Covid pandemic put a bit of a hold on her development but it’s exciting to see what she may do in the European peloton.

“I am very happy to join the ranks of Bizkaia-Durango, excited and grateful to return one more season to the European calendar. I really want to meet my teammates and to represent Bizkaia-Durango in the most important races on the calendar.”
