Career overview
Plichta was one of Poland’s most consistent road riders of the late 2010s, racing professionally with BTC City Ljubljana, WM3 Pro Cycling, Boels-Dolmans, Trek-Segafredo Women and Lotto Soudal Ladies. She represented Poland at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, and was part of the long-range breakaway in the Tokyo Olympic road race that helped shape Anna Kiesenhofer’s famous victory. Plichta also raced repeatedly at the UCI Road World Championships between 2014 and 2020, and became a two-time Polish national champion, with her strengths centred on climbing, breakaways and time-trial efforts. She retired from professional cycling at the end of 2021.
