2025 Tour de France Femmes announcement

Brittany is set to host the Grand Départ of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift in 2025. The prestigious event will commence in Vannes on Saturday, 26 July, marking a return to the region after starting in Paris, Clermont-Ferrand, and Rotterdam in previous years.

Stage Highlights

  • Stage 1: The race will kick off from Vannes, making its way to Plumelec, known for the iconic summit of Cadoudal.
  • Stage 2: The peloton will journey from Brest to Quimper on 27 July.
  • Stage 3: The third stage will start from La Gacilly on 28 July.

The 2025 edition of the Tour de France Femmes will feature nine stages, one more than previous editions. Marion Rousse, the race director, commented, “It’s a sign that the race is doing very well.”

Rousse expressed her excitement about the race returning to Brittany, a region she holds dear. “We are here to inspire future generations, and I’m proud of that. Brittany is a region I love, it’s beautiful. In Plumelec, where I have often competed in the Grand Prix, I’ll feel a bit emotional at the top of Cadoudal… I’ll think we’ve made a significant step forward. Brittany is a land of champions, with Cédrine Kerbaol winning the white jersey for the best young rider last year.”

The announcement of the route has been met with enthusiasm from fans and riders alike, as Brittany’s challenging terrain and scenic routes promise to deliver a thrilling race.
