Canyon SRAM Generation has announced its roster for the 2025 season, welcoming four riders who represent a mix of returning talents and new additions. The team continues its mission to develop riders from a variety of backgrounds, with eight riders confirmed for next season, and the final spot reserved for the winner of the 2024 Zwift Academy.
Four riders strengthen the 2025 roster
Rwandan road champion Diane Ingabire and Ugandan time trial champion Florence Nakagwa have renewed their contracts, while British rider Awen Roberts also extends her stay after a strong debut season. Germany’s Joelle Messemer is the newest face to join the lineup, bringing significant talent as a junior European champion on the track.
Ingabire described her 2024 season as a pivotal year, highlighting the team’s support in nutrition, coaching, and mental health. She pointed to her participation in the Paris Olympics as a career milestone and outlined her ambitions to target podium finishes and perform strongly at the 2025 UCI Road World Championships, set to take place in her home country of Rwanda.
Nakagwa, who was unable to compete in Europe this year due to visa challenges, will finally join her teammates at the winter training camp. Despite her frustrations, she has remained focused on her training and credited her family’s support for keeping her motivated. She hopes to develop her skills further and compete in UCI races next season.
Roberts, meanwhile, reflected on a breakthrough 2024 that saw her shine at the GP de Eibar, where she finished seventh after a determined performance. She aims to build on her confidence and fight for podium places in the coming season, while also continuing her progression toward World Tour-level racing.
Messemer brings an impressive track record to the team, including junior European titles in the individual and team pursuit. The German rider sees her first professional contract as an opportunity to grow and contribute to the team’s ambitions, with a particular focus on sprinting and positioning.
