Clémence Latimier, the second-place finisher at the French Espoirs Championship, announced her move to the Arkea-B&B Hotels team as a stagiaire for the upcoming 2024 season. The 20-year-old rider from Team Chambéry Cyclisme Compétition is set to take her first steps in the professional women’s peloton.
Latimier expressed her excitement about the opportunity. “I am very happy to join the Arkea-B&B Hotels team as a trainee. It’s a great reward for all the work done this season, but also a great opportunity to discover the professional world. My goals will be to gain experience and help my future teammates as much as possible. I like the mentality of the Arkea-B&B Hotels team, and the riders have a very high level, so I can’t wait to start the adventure with them,” said Latimier.
She extended her gratitude to her current team and the new one, acknowledging the support and confidence they have shown in her. “I thank the staff of Arkea-B&B Hotels, especially Jean-Christophe, the Sports Manager of this structure, for the trust he places in me. Thanks also to Team Chambéry Cyclisme Compétition, who supported me and allowed me to progress quickly.”
Emmanuel Hubert, the General Manager of Arkea-B&B Hotels, praised Latimier’s talent and achievements. “Clémence Latimier is a young 20-year-old rider who has already shown her talent in the amateur ranks by finishing second at this year’s French U23 Espoirs Championships. She will be a stagiaire with the Arkea-B&B Hotels team and will make her debut in the professional women’s peloton in our red and black colours.”
Stagiaires can be signed from 1st August until the end of the season as temporary additions to a team to evaluate their talent.
