Career overview
Peñuela has been one of Colombia’s most consistent women’s road riders, combining sprint speed with resilience in hilly stage races. After racing in the United States with UnitedHealthcare, she moved through Alé Cipollini and Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank before a successful spell with DNA Pro Cycling Team. Her biggest achievements include Colombian road race titles in 2022 and 2023, the Colombian time-trial title in 2024, overall victory at the 2022 Vuelta a Colombia Femenina with multiple stage wins, and podium finishes at the Bolivarian Games, South American Games and Pan American Road Championships. Peñuela continued racing with Team Sistecredito Women in 2026.
