UAE Team ADQ have confirmed that Febe Jooris will step up to the Women’s WorldTour squad for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, rewarding the Belgian’s steady progression through the team’s development structure.
From development pathway to WorldTour opportunity
Born in Deinze on 4 October 2004, the 21-year-old has spent the 2025 season with the UAE Development Team, using it as a year of consolidation and learning. That period has now translated into a full WorldTour contract, underlining UAE Team ADQ’s long-term commitment to nurturing young talent internally rather than sourcing it externally.
“It was a year full of learning,” Jooris said. “Seeing how well the team works together made me realise this is the group I want to be part of in the years ahead.”
Her exposure to races alongside the WorldTour squad, combined with leadership roles within the development set-up, played a central role in that decision.

A proven time trial pedigree
Jooris arrives with a clear speciality. She remains the first Belgian woman to win a medal in a World Championships time trial, having taken bronze as a junior in 2022. That result followed earlier European Championship bronze in the same discipline and has been backed up by multiple Belgian U23 national time trial titles.
Her background also includes a strong track foundation, with national titles and international medals in pursuits, omnium and the madison, underlining her ability to produce sustained power and precision – qualities that translate directly to time trials on the road.

More than a specialist
While time trialling remains her standout strength, UAE Team ADQ see broader potential. Jooris has shown growing confidence on mixed terrain and in classics-style racing, an area she will continue to develop at WorldTour level.
Looking ahead to 2026, she is clear about her ambitions. “I’m really grateful for this opportunity and I truly want to prove that I’m worth it,” she said. Supporting team leaders across a range of races, while continuing to raise her own level against the clock, will be central to her role.
A long-term investment
Team president Melissa Moncada framed the promotion as part of a wider philosophy. “We are proud to see Febe taking this step into the WorldTour. We strongly believe in her potential and are excited to see her contributions in the coming seasons,” she said. “Our focus is on nurturing young talent and providing a supportive environment where they can thrive.”
For Jooris, the move represents both a reward and a new test. For UAE Team ADQ, it is another example of a development pathway beginning to deliver riders ready to contribute at the highest level of women’s cycling.
