Henderson and Georgi headline women’s field at 2025 British Nationals

Pfeiffer Georgi

In the women’s events at this year’s British National Championships, Anna Henderson is bidding for her third elite time trial title. The 25-year-old has already claimed two victories in the discipline and will be looking to repeat that success on the 27km course in Aberaeron on Thursday, 26th June. On the road, Pfeiffer Georgi will start as the clear favourite to extend her dominance in the national road race, having already won the title three times in the last four editions. The 22-year-old is targeting a fourth elite title on Sunday’s 128km race in Aberystwyth.

Among the challengers from the British domestic scene are National Road Series leader Robyn Clay, who has shown consistent form throughout 2025, and Lincoln GP winner Lauren Dickson, both capable of shaping the race if it comes back together in the final laps. Their performances could mark a significant step forward in their careers, particularly in what is set to be a showcase weekend for homegrown talent.

There’s also a fresh wave of next-generation riders stepping up to the elite ranks. Cat Ferguson, still just 18, enters with growing expectations following her recent success at the Navarra Elite Classic and becoming the youngest-ever WWT race winner at the Tour of Britain Women recently. She’ll line up alongside fellow young stars Zoe Backstedt, Imogen Wolff, and Carys Lloyd, all of whom have enjoyed important moments in their young careers so far. Their presence signals a clear generational contrast in a field that also includes established Women’s WorldTour competitors.

The three-day programme begins with time trials on Thursday 26th June, followed by circuit races in Aberystwyth on Friday 27th, and concluding with the road races on Sunday 29th June. While the start lists are provisional, the potential match-ups across all categories, particularly the chance to see Henderson and Georgi in action, promise a compelling national championship on Welsh roads.
