Jenna Merrick (Retired)
Jenna Merrick is a retired New Zealand cyclist who emerged as a promising young stage racer before stepping away from the sport at an early age. A strong all-round rider with particular ability on climbing terrain, she represented New Zealand internationally as a junior before progressing through the domestic scene and into European professional racing with Doltcini-Van Eyck Sport. Her best results included second at Gravel and Tar La Femme and fourth overall at the Herald Sun Tour.

Career overview
Merrick represented New Zealand at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games, finishing fourth in the individual time-trial and seventh in the road race. She later progressed through the New Zealand domestic scene with Mike Greer Homes Women’s Cycling Team and enjoyed a breakthrough 2019 season, finishing second at Gravel and Tar La Femme and fourth overall at the Herald Sun Tour. Those performances helped earn her a move to Belgian UCI team Doltcini-Van Eyck Sport for 2020. Merrick finished 18th overall at the Women’s Tour Down Under during her first professional season and gained experience in European racing, but her professional career proved relatively short. She subsequently stepped away from elite cycling and was listed as retired from 2022.
