Jenny Rissveds

Jenny Rissveds is a Swedish cyclist and one of the leading cross-country mountain bike riders of her generation. The 2016 Olympic champion has combined an elite mountain bike career with selected road racing, including success at national level against the clock. After rebuilding her career through her own Team 31 project, Rissveds returned to the very top of the sport and became elite cross-country world champion in 2025 before joining Canyon’s mountain bike programme.

Career overview

Rissveds emerged as one of mountain biking’s outstanding young talents, winning the under-23 cross-country world title and Olympic cross-country gold in Rio in 2016. After stepping away from racing while dealing with mental health difficulties, she returned through her self-created Team 31 project and gradually rebuilt herself into a major international force. Rissveds won Olympic bronze at Paris 2024 before producing one of her finest seasons in 2025, becoming elite cross-country world champion and European champion while collecting multiple World Cup victories. She has also raced selectively on the road, becoming Swedish national time-trial champion in 2023. Rissveds joined Canyon’s cross-country programme for 2025 and continues to compete at the highest level with Canyon XC Racing.
