Kim De Baat (Retired)
Kim de Baat is a retired Belgian cyclist who spent more than a decade racing professionally across the European peloton. Born in the Netherlands before later representing Belgium, she developed into a dependable one-day racer with particular strength in flatter Classics and fast finishes. De Baat’s biggest achievement came in 2022 when she won the Belgian national road race title, adding to an earlier victory at Dwars door de Westhoek. She retired from professional cycling at the end of the 2023 season.

Career overview
De Baat began her senior career under a Dutch licence and won Dwars door de Westhoek in 2012 before racing for teams including Boels-Dolmans, Parkhotel Valkenburg and Lensworld. She switched sporting nationality to Belgium during the middle of her career and continued as a regular presence in European one-day races. After spells with Doltcini-Van Eyck Sport, Ciclotel and Dubai Police Cycling Team, De Baat joined Plantur-Pura in 2022 and produced the defining result of her career by winning the Belgian national road race championship. She remained with the organisation as it became Fenix-Deceuninck for 2023, completing her final professional season before retiring at the end of the year.
