Cofidis have bolstered their line-up for 2026 with the signings of Kristyna Burlova and Malwina Mul, two young riders who bring both proven results and future promise. The pair have signed two-year deals, strengthening the French team’s depth for the Classics and hilly one-day races.
For Burlova, the move comes after another strong year in which she pulled on the Czech national champion’s jersey following her first professional win.
The 23-year-old has steadily built her reputation in the WorldTour peloton, showing speed and grit in hard one-day races. She was 6th at Scheldeprijs in 2023, placed 4th on a stage of the Tour Down Under in 2024, and this season recorded 5th at Ronde de Mouscron and 6th at Festival Elsy Jacobs à Luxembourg.
Cofidis see her as both a finisher in the right circumstances and an experienced rider capable of guiding teammates in lead-outs. As sports director Mélanie Briot put it, Burlova brings “know-how and mastery” that will benefit a team aiming to become more competitive in Belgian races.
Mul, meanwhile, arrives from MAT ATOM Deweloper Wroclaw with a punchy, versatile profile. At just 21, she already has two professional victories to her name, winning stages at both the Tour de Feminin and Gracia Orlová in 2023.
Her 2025 season underlined her progression: 2nd overall at the Tour de Feminin after three stage podiums, 2nd at the Ladies Tour of Estonia, and runner-up again at the Poreč Trophy Ladies. Cofidis believe she can follow a path similar to Nadia Quagliotto, thriving in the Classics and on rolling terrain, while also supporting the team’s sprinters and climbers when needed.
Both riders emphasised the team’s environment as a key factor in their decision. Burlova spoke of joining “a good working atmosphere with clear objectives,” stressing her willingness to combine ambition with teamwork. Mul highlighted her eagerness to learn in a professional set-up, describing herself as a “fighter” who thrives in the tough finales of races.
Together, Burlova and Mul represent the next stage of Cofidis’ growth. The women’s team is only four seasons old, but with each transfer window it has broadened its horizons and internationalised its roster. With these signings, the squad adds youthful energy, national champion prestige, and the kind of resilient riders who can shape races in the Classics – a clear statement of intent for 2026.
