Léa Curinier to join FDJ-Suez for next 2 seasons

Lea Curinier

The French team FDJ-Suez has announced that it will secure one of the best young French talents in Léa Curinier for 2024 and 2025. She has ridden for Team dsm-firmenich for the last 2 years after riding for Arkea before that. Still only 22 years old, the time has come to return to a French team and be one of their one-day race threats.

Curinier’s best results this year have come at Dwars Door de Westhoek (2nd), Baloise Ladies Tour (6th in GC), French national TT (8th) and French national road race (13th). She also finished 14th in the Tour de l’Avenir last week and 15th in the U23 race in a race at the World Championships in Glasgow. The latter was particularly impressive after being a late call-up to replace her future FDJ-Suez teammate Marie Le Net. Curinier also finished 22nd on the Tourmalet stage at the Tour de France Femmes. Back racing on a French team again, I can see her best results coming in the many Coupe de France-style races next season, which include the likes of the Bretagne Ladies Tour, GP Morbihan and Kreiz Breizh Elites.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Léa to our team. With recognised experience, she has demonstrated her unwavering support to her leaders, whether on the flat or in the mountains. At our place, we aspire to guide Léa in the next stage of her career. Our distinct style – attacking and provoking – will certainly be reinforced by her skills and her desire to go higher.

Stephen Delocourt – FDJ-Suez General Manager

I am very happy to join FDJ-SUEZ, it is a great opportunity and a new challenge. I look forward to being able to express myself within this team and to give the best of myself over the next 2 years.
