Today is the inaugural race of the Women’s Challenge Mallorca and the European season opener as well. A series of 3 races held day after day which is like a mini-stage race but without a general classification tying the stages together. Teams are free to enter different riders for the different races too, so a mini squad can rotate and ensure some racing in the legs for many riders in the first days of the 2024 women’s cycling season. Today’s race is the Women’s Trofeo Felanitx-Colònia de Sant Jordi and it’s the flattest race of the trio. A late kick shouldn’t affect the favourites, with a sprint expected at the end of the day.
