Live: 2025 Challenge Mallorca #2 – Trofeo Palma Femina

The Trofeo Palma Femina is the second race of the Women’s Challenge Mallorca trio of races set to take place this long weekend. The Challenge Mallorca races are more of a group of individual one-day races that are connected only by the organisation running them. Teams are free to select a squad and then pick and choose which riders start each race day, plus there is no general classification to worry about. All in all, it’s a chance to get 3 wins in the books and test the early season legs for the riders. Today’s Trofeo Palma Femina is the first chance for the climbers but could also see attacks win if last year’s race is anything to go by.

In 2024, we saw Magdeleine Vallieres Mill take her first-ever pro victory by attacking the final summit, being brave on the descent and then staying clear of the chase to the line. Someone like Cedrine Kerbaol will be eyeing this one up with pure climbers left working out how to drop riders like her. Because of the descent heading to the finish, we may see a smallish group contest the win, at which point a sprint will come in handy and we might see Silvia Persico suddenly become the major threat. All in all, early season form can shake things up good proper for an exciting race.
