Maike races to a podium place in Duizel

Maike van der Duin races to a podium place for the second time in a week as she rode a national criterium in Duizel.

The youngster from Assen lined up at the start wearing the blue jersey of the series leader having won the first round in Ronde van Kempen. It didn’t take long for the blue jersey to be visible in the race as Maike broke away from the peloton with Anouska Koster from Team Jumbo Visma after lap three.

The duo worked well together and with 3 laps to go, Koster attacked Maike, gaining a gap. Maike continued to chase hard and ended the race in second place.
