Fresh from claiming her first elite national title in Les Herbiers, Marie Le Net has extended her contract with FDJ-Suez through to the end of the 2027 season, continuing a partnership that began back in 2019.

Le Net, now the reigning French road race champion, has grown steadily within the structure of the team, emerging as a reliable and tactically astute rider capable of both supporting leaders and taking her own opportunities when they arise. Her recent national championship win was a clear example of that dual role – a breakthrough performance achieved after years of consistency and development.

In announcing the extension, FDJ-Suez General Manager Stephen Delcourt praised her long-standing role within the squad.

“Marie has been part of our history since 2019. Her loyalty, her unwavering commitment, and her sense of teamwork make her a valuable teammate, exemplary in the shadows as well as in the spotlight. At the last French Championship, she seized her opportunity, took responsibility, and demonstrated the full extent of her talent. It is a great pride to continue writing the next chapter of the FDJ-Suez adventure alongside her. Marie embodies our values.”

The new deal underlines FDJ-Suez’s continued investment in long-term rider development, with Le Net now one of the most experienced riders on the roster. At just 25 years old, she still has room to grow further and will now do so wearing the tricolore jersey until at least the end of 2027.

Reflecting on the new deal, Le Net said:

“I’ve been part of the team for seven years now. I’m proud to have supported its development over time, and I fully intend to continue the adventure for another two years. Always with the same pleasure, the same good humour, and the same perseverance. This year will be all the more special under this beautiful blue, white, and red jersey.”

Her continued presence offers not just sporting quality, but also continuity and identity to the French team, which places increasing value on homegrown success stories like Le Net’s.
