Michaela Drummond, a stage winner at the Pays de la Loire Tour and the Tour of Portugal, has committed her future to Arkea-B&B Hotels, signing a contract extension that will see her stay with the team until 2026.
Drummond spoke about the decision to extend her contract, describing it as an easy choice due to the professional environment the team provides. She credited this atmosphere with significantly improving her performance and aligning with her ambitions. “Extending my contract with the Arkea-B&B Hotels team for 2025-2026 was an easy decision,” she said. “The team’s professional environment was crucial to my choice, as it has enabled me to improve my performance considerably. I believe that this is the best structure for me to continue to grow and further enhance my potential.”
Looking ahead to the next season, Drummond has set her sights on improving her results in bunch sprint finishes and securing podium spots on the Women’s World Tour. She also expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by the team, as well as the unwavering support of her family, friends, and fans. “I’d like to thank the Arkea-B&B Hotels team for their trust, as well as my family, friends and fans for their constant support. Their encouragement means a lot to me and I’m delighted to be continuing this journey together,” she added.
Emmanuel Hubert, General Manager of Arkea-B&B Hotels, praised Drummond for quickly finding her place within the team, recognising her ambitions and performance in sprints. “Michaela Drummond quickly found her place within the Arkea-B&B Hotels team, her performances and sprint victories have demonstrated this,” Hubert remarked. He also noted that the team shares Drummond’s ambitions and is keen to continue growing its women’s structure on the international stage. “Michaela is ambitious. She wants to continue her progression within our team, and we want to continue to grow our women’s structure within the international peloton gradually with riders like her.”
