Team Jayco AlUla has bolstered its sprinting firepower for 2026 with the signing of Pascal Ackermann on a two-year deal running through 2027. The 31-year-old German sprinter joins the Australian WorldTour outfit after two seasons with Israel–Premier Tech, bringing with him a wealth of experience and an impressive record of 45 professional victories.

Ackermann is one of the most accomplished sprinters of his generation, with major triumphs across all levels of the sport. His palmarès includes three Giro d’Italia stage wins, two at the Vuelta a España, and victories at Eschborn-Frankfurt, RideLondon Classic, and the Critérium du Dauphiné. A former German national champion, Ackermann also claimed his most recent victory at Classique Dunkerque in 2025, confirming that his sprinting prowess remains as sharp as ever.

Speaking on the announcement, Ackermann expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Australian setup. “Team Jayco AlUla is a team with a great history, and one that I looked up to when I was younger,” he said. “It’s always been a dream to join them, and I’m really excited for this opportunity. For me, it’s the best team to continue chasing my dream of winning races. I can’t wait to get started in 2026 and fight for more victories.”

Ackermann will form part of a reinforced sprint train alongside Luka Mezgec and fellow German Jasha Sütterlin, as Team Jayco AlUla looks to return to consistent success in fast finishes. His addition follows the team’s recent efforts to rebuild its lead-out structure, with management confident that his experience will prove invaluable in developing both results and younger talent.

General Manager Brent Copeland welcomed the signing, highlighting Ackermann’s proven track record. “Pascal has shown throughout his career that he can win at the very highest level,” Copeland said. “His combination of strength, race sense and professionalism makes him a great fit for our sprint group. We’re looking forward to working with him next season and seeing what he can achieve under our coaches and sports directors.”

Ackermann turned professional with Rad-Net Rose before joining BORA-Hansgrohe in 2017, where he rose to prominence with a breakout 2018 and 2019 campaign, taking multiple WorldTour victories, including Giro d’Italia stages and the German national title. He later raced with UAE Team Emirates, where he added to his Grand Tour tally, and then with Israel–Premier Tech, where he returned to winning form in 2025.

After nearly a decade at the sport’s top level, Ackermann’s arrival at Team Jayco AlUla marks the next step in a career defined by consistency, speed, and determination. For 2026, the focus is clear: lead the team’s sprint ambitions and return to winning ways in cycling’s biggest races.
