Proximus-Cyclis make host of signings for 2024 season

Yuli van der Molen

The Proximus-AlphMotorHomes-Doltcini team is already looking forward to the 2024 season. With a slightly different name of Proximus-Cyclis, the Belgian team will be back in the Continental level ranks next season. They also run a cyclocross team and one signing has been made for that slightly separate roster too. They’ve been slowly building up their 2024 roster and announced 3 new signings from Dutch club team WV Schijndel and 1 from AG Insurance-NXTG U23 as well. The team confirmed that starting January 1, 2024, riders Yuli van der Molen, Lisa Van Belle, Lente Boskamp, and Amber Aernouts will don their colours. With Adele Hurteloup joining the cyclocross team.

Amber Aernouts expressed her enthusiasm about joining Proximus-Cyclis, stating that she was particularly looking forward to gaining experience in some of the world’s biggest races. Lisa Van Belle mentioned that her choice to ride for Proximus-Cyclis was influenced by the team’s confidence in her and their comprehensive spring programme in Belgium. Lente Boskamp also conveyed her excitement, acknowledging the team’s faith in her to become a stronger rider and bring in good results.

The team’s Director Sportif, Gert Vervoort, stated it was no coincidence that these young talents were scouted from the WV Schijndel. He credited their consistent performance and spotlight-grabbing skills to the guidance of Angelo van Melis among others.

Additionally, Yuli van der Molen will also join Proximus-Cyclis’ UCI continental team starting January 1. She revealed her decision was motivated by the team’s focus on group dynamics, trust, and personal development. Her penchant for spring classics and time-trialling was also noted.

In further news, 18-year-old French rider Adele Hurteloup is set to join the UCI CX team of Proximus-Cyclis from September 1. Hurteloup expressed her happiness in joining one of the most structured teams, praising its good atmosphere and team spirit.

As the riders gear up for the upcoming seasons, Proximus-Cyclis is setting itself as a formidable competitor, prioritising both individual growth and teamwork.
