BMX fans are in for a treat as Red Bull unveils its groundbreaking new competition, Red Bull Featured, which will take place at Manchester Central on 12th April 2025. The event promises to showcase never-before-seen tricks on a larger-than-life custom-built park, designed to inspire creativity and innovation among the world’s top riders.

The brainchild of BMX legend and Red Bull athlete Sebastian Keep, the event is set to feature 16 elite riders competing across four unique challenges: High Air, Sub Box, Quarter Pipe, and Jump Box. Unlike traditional BMX competitions, Red Bull Featured will adopt a no-penalty format, removing deductions for falls and encouraging riders to attempt bold and innovative tricks.

Speaking about the vision behind the event, Keep explained, “By stripping away the red tape, rules and limits typical of current competition formats, we want to deliver an event which inspires riders to push the boundaries, break new ground and innovate free of any restrictions or conventions. By not penalising riders for falls, at Red Bull Featured, we want every crash to be a step towards a world first, not a failure.”

Among the riders confirmed to participate is Kieran Reilly, who gained international attention last year as the first person to land a Triple Flair. Sharing his thoughts on the event, Reilly said, “I’m excited to be involved in the first-ever Red Bull Featured. Every time I ride, I’m trying to progress, develop and test the limit of what’s possible. Becoming the first person to land a Triple Flair last year has only made me hungrier to want to hit more milestones, and to be able to do that in front of an audience in competition is hugely exciting and something completely different for fans to see.”

Judging the event will be a panel of industry leaders, including Olympic Gold medallist Charlotte Worthington MBE, Olympic Bronze medallist Declan Brooks, and David Cleworth, who served as Head Judge at the most recent Olympic Games. Their expertise will ensure that each rider’s creativity and skill are recognised on this innovative stage.

Manchester Central, known for its vibrant urban atmosphere, will serve as the perfect backdrop for Red Bull Featured, blending the energy of urban culture with the high-octane pace of BMX action. Fans eager to witness this historic event can secure early bird tickets now, with general ticket sales beginning in January.
