Sarah Gigante debuts with Movistar Team at Nokere Koerse

Almost two weeks after their previous appearance at Strade Bianche, the Movistar Team women’s squad resumes its classics activity with the Nokere Koerse.

This interlude between WorldTour races, with equal prizes for boys and girls, presents a technical and interesting route around one of the heights that, despite not being particularly hard -just over four hundred meters at 6%-, results from the better known by fans as it is located in the middle of a town: the Nokereberg.

The Nokere Koerse – which neither starts in Nokere (it does so in Deinze) nor ends in Koerse (this word is not a place name, but ‘race’ in Dutch) – comprises 126 km with a first section in line, overcoming several cobbled sections , and a final circuit.

In this loop, three passes are made through the Nokereberg, plus two through the sections of Herlegemstraat (1,100m), Huisepontweg (1,900m) and Hoevenstraat (300m) and the same number through the Lange Ast elevation (500m at 4%), also paved.
